Coast-inland transect across Norwegian mountain slopes

GLORIA Norway has established a network of observations in six mountain slopes. The six mountains are distributed along two coast-to-inland gradients: four in southern Norway and two in the north. Each mountain slope is resurveyed on a seven- or eight-year rotational basis. In conjunction with the permanent plots, soil temperature is recorded continuously in the southern transect. Within the transects, glacier dynamics and phenology are also monitored.
